FAQ
Q. Who will be my insurance company if I bring my business to Oregon First?
A. Oregon First Insurance is an independent agency which means that we represent several carriers including Safeco, Progressive, Oregon Mutual, Foremost, Travelers, and United Heritage. This allows us to find the best fit and rate for our clients.
Q. Who do I call if I need to file a claim?
A. The insurance companies that Oregon First Insurance represents handle all claims directly. Claims department contact information is located on insurance ID cards, declaration pages, or by clicking here.
Q. Do I need to be a member of a Credit Union to be a client of Oregon First Insurance?
A. Credit Union membership is not required. We will currently quote auto, home, and commercial for Oregon and Washington residents.
Q. How can I help in the quoting process?
A. The “Declaration Pages” from your current insurance policies contain much of the information agents will need. These pages can be faxed or emailed to Oregon First Insurance or dropped off at your local banking center.
Q. What are my payment options if I purchase my insurance through Oregon First?
A. Payments will be made directly to carriers. Electronic funds transfer and credit/debit cards are preferred. Payment options vary between carriers.
Q. Is credit a factor in the insurance quoting process?
A. Most companies use information from credit reports as factors in the quoting process. When insurance companies pull the credit report it is considered a soft hit and does not affect your credit score.
